GeoTrck is a complete web-based fleet tracking system, characterized by it sleek and robust hardware design (for the vehicle unit), low cost and feature rich application software. GeoTrack is integrated with GPS technology and is embedded with the latest mobile communicator Technology And the fact that it is based on GSM/GPRS wireless data communication protocol, means much reduced data communication cost for the end-user.
GeoTrack is accessible through the standard internet web browser, using easy to use and feature-rich “Fleet Tracking” application software. The complete application and data servers are housed at Kuwait GIS and served through a high speed dedicated internet line. This makes the service even more economical for any organization regardless of fleet size, as this option does not require the client to invest in any GIS software and hardware.
The system consists of a tracking unit (placed in the vehicle), which houses a GPS integrated with GSM/GPRS communicator. The GPS signals received by satellites are transmitted (via GPRS) to the GeoTrack Platform/servers at Kuwait GIS. The platform houses the map server and the GeoTrack application software.
The client (end-user) can access the web-based GeoTrack application online and track the vehicles through the web. A stand-alone solution, hosted at customer site is also available on request. All what is needed to start Data communication is a GPRS SIM card (from one of the mobile service providers), which is placed in the dedicated slot of the vehicle tracking unit.
